You wont believe how drama mama my week was. I dont wanna talk about it because some things are better forgotten. On a happier note, we have been shopping for Vig's birthday!

We went to Batavia last week! Its a quaint little cafe in Southbank. I got chocogatto! A jug of hot chocolate to pour into a bowl of ice cream. Their servings are hugggee and they serve vanilla ice cream like its free!

In 1964, Kitty Genovese was chased, sexually assualted and repeatedly stabbed by an assailant who took 35 mins to kill her. Despite her screams and pleas for help, not 1 of the 38 people who were watching the scene from their apartments called the police or attempted to help her. When these bystanders were questioned later, they couldnt explain their inaction. Have people become all cold, indifferent and apathetic?
Apparently not. This social phenomenon is called the Bystander Effect whereby people fail to act after witnessing a situation in which someone appears to require assistance. These people are in a state of indecision and conflict after witnessing a frightening and potentially dangerous situation. One of the main explanations of this behaviour is because they think other bystanders are available to help so everyone thinks that way and no one ends up helping! Sometimes the situation can be so ambigulous that people look to others to see if they observe it as an emergency because they are so fearful of blunder. If no one reacts, the victim dont get any help! It happens everyday too. Less extreme cases would be pregnant lady on bus, drunk passed out stranger, etc. Very disturbing.
Ugh I have to write an essay on this. Mental block!!!

I have just discovered the best best stick ice cream in Australia. Golden Gaytime! Toffee and vanilla flavoured ice cream coated with biscuit bits and chocolate! Soooooo good! I love Celia for getting me to eat this!

What a gloomy gloomy morning.
It has been raining all week. A 10 min walk to school and I have dirt, leaves and branches stuck to my legs. It didnt help that I was going for a statistics tutorial. Yes its true. I have to do statistics this semester and quite possibly for the rest of my life. Ah statistics! No matter how far I try to run, you always manage to come back and haunt me! I have resigned to fate. It did not end there! I bought chocolate from the lolly shop and it turned out to be the worst tasting thing ever! How can chocolate ever taste bad? Unheard of! When i walked back home, it started pouring! I whipped out my trusty umbrella only to find that it was lopsided. The worst part is I had to throw 2 of my cactus away. They were beyond hope. How did it happen!?! Rest in peace, Mr Brown and Mr Pink.
I believe this morning is a sign that i should not go for my classes for the rest of the week.

First entry in a long time!
Just thought it will be good to start writing again. Just for myself. Well well. It has been almost 7 months since moving here. Brisbane is slow and nice but i have sort of decided that home is really the best place. (Read: I miss chicken rice, carrot cake and um, good internet.)
So much have changed in such a short time. I would say i am pleased with my decision to switch to Pyschology. I know i might not eventually end up where i wanna be but at least i am giving it a shot. I am done with the mid years for PSYC1020 and PSYC1030 and I think I may have overstudied for these papers. (Really! Is there such a thing as overstudying?!) I dont want this change to seem like a mistake and maybe that is why I feel this pressure to do stuff well.
This blog is so not looking like a food blog.
Oh god I am hungry and there is no food at home why is it raining!
